Business Success: The 2 plans you need for 2022!

Ah, the financial year has closed, you’ve reached your business success goals, and it’s time to relax and chill out – said no business owner ever!

While small businesses all over Australia ramp up for the new financial year with new goals, dreams and aspirations, there are two things you must do before anything else.

What is a business plan and why do I need one?

A business plan is a document (at least a one-page overview) that contains your business goals, how you will achieve those goals, and the time-frame in which you want to achieve your goals. It includes information about your target market, KPIs, opportunities, weaknesses, marketing methods and so on.

Why is a business plan important? It’s your business strategy, your plan on what you will achieve and how you will grow your business in the next 12 months. It will help you stay focused in the direction you want to take your business and also give you necessary steps to turn your ideas into reality and success.

What is a marketing plan and why do I need one?

A marketing plan helps you reach the goals set out in your business plan with marketing methods that  promote your business, products and services. It helps you stay focused on your target audience and what they need and want from you. The marketing plan and activities help you achieve your business objectives and goals.

You need a business plan and a marketing plan to have the best chance of success this year. The business plan is the strategic foundation and the marketing plan is the strategic direction.
